A suspicious package forced the evacuation of the JCPenney in Cedar Hill.

The store located in the 300 block of North Highway 67 was evacuated just before noon on Tuesday.

Police said the manager found a suspicious package inside the store.

Investigators say the package was just a bag of old clothes.

Officers were suspicious because the location where they found the bag had doors that looked like they had been pried open. The bag may belong to a homeless person.
