Suspects in Girl's Abduction Face Sexual Assault Charges

Unlawful restraint charges dropped

The two men who were taken into custody in connection with the disappearance of a 13-year-old Irving girl are now facing charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Todge Thurman, 20, is charged with two counts and is being held on $200,000 bond. Humberto Corona, also 20, is charged with one count and is being held on $100,000 bond.

In a jailhouse interview on Tuesday, Corona said the girl was not held against her will and that "she was free to go the whole time. She never asked to leave."

The unlawful restraint charges the men were originally arrested on have been dropped.

The girl was missing for several days before showing up at shortly before a live report by NBCDFW's Julie Tam early Tuesday morning.

"They should let me out since they found her," Corona said in the jailhouse interview.

Police are only releasing limited information in case because of the sensitive nature of the investigation and to protect the victim.
