Two men are in the Dallas County jail facing capital murder charges in connection with the murder of Leonardo Ortega.

Police said Ortega was shot and killed June 14 while closing the Subway restaurant on the 600 block of W. Illinois Street in Dallas.

Investigators said two men, identified by police as 37-year-old Anderson Jones and 35-year-old Christopher Miller, entered the store with their faces and heads covered while a third man stood outside the store as a look out.

One of the robbers pulled out a handgun and demanded money while the second took the cash from the register, according to police.

Ortega argued with the robbers and was shot dead inside the store, police said.

Both Jones and Miller are charged with capital murder. Police have revealed no information about the third man.
