Dallas police are searching for a driver who hit and killed a college student from Southlake.[[298747511,C]]
Paul Miltenberger, 20, was not in a crosswalk when he attempted to cross in the 5500 block of East Mockingbird Lane at 2:19 a.m. Easter Sunday, according to Dallas police.
The driver who struck Miltenberger did not stop and render aid.
Police, who originally believed a black Dodge Charger was responsible, tell NBC 5 they collected car parts from the scene and had them analyzed at a Dodge dealership. They now think the driver was in a black Dodge Challenger. The vehicle should have heavy front end damage on the passenger side and is missing a rear-view mirror.[[298745081,C]]
The Carroll Independent School District confirms Miltenberger graduated from Southlake Carroll Senior High School in 2013, where he played varsity soccer.
He was currently a student at the University of Missouri. According to a post on social media by his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, Miltenberger was a sophomore studying marketing.

It wasn't uncommon for Paul to take time out of his day if someone was feeling down, and cheer them up, a skill few young men are capable of. Paul will be missed dearly by all who knew him.”
The fraternity plans to hold a vigil in front of Beta Theta Pi Monday at 8 p.m. in Columbia, Missouri.
A service for Miltenberger will be held at 11 a.m. April 11 at White's Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake.
“Paul was a wonderful young man who will be missed by many," Miltenberger's family stated in a release. "He treated everyone he met with kindness, generosity, love and respect."
In a statement from Carroll ISD said:
"Our love and support goes out to the Miltenberger family, to Paul’s friends, former teammates, coaches and teachers during this time of loss," a district release stated. "Words cannot express the grief we feel over the loss of a member of our Dragon family."
