Heavy wind and rain caused outages and damage to several schools Tuesday in Tarrant County.
The northwest campus of Tarrant County College was evacuated just after 9 a.m. when the school lost power.
"Just another Texas storm," said Mike Tankersley, director of operations at the school.
A strong wind gust ripped off a panel of bricks from the student union, sending them into a large pile four stories below. Crews also had to board up large windows that were blown out as the storm passed over the campus.
"We have a structural engineer coming out to take a look," explained Tankersley. "If there's any damage to the structure, we won't let any students in until then."
Nearby, several high schools were operating without electricity. In the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District, two schools lost power throughout the morning. At Chisholm Trail High School, the school's band trailer was tipped over by the wind, however, no equipment was inside.
The damage was more extensive at Brewer High School in west Fort Worth, where several students found their cars had been hit by debris carried in the storm.

"It cracked the back window and these windows," said student Krista Lopez, as she examined her car.
The junior was alerted by a friend that the storm had shattered several of her windows. According to a spokeswoman for the White Settlement Independent School District, the debris that hit the cars was likely rocks that are part of the roofing at the school.
"All my seats are covered in glass," said Lopez. "2015 Toyota Corolla, I got it for my 16th birthday."
None of the locations reported any injuries.
According to Tarrant County College, classes resumed at the northwest campus Tuesday evening.
