Police said at least one person carjacked a pickup truck and tried to crash it into a Dallas check cashing store Wednesday morning.
Dallas police said the culprit stole a Chevy dual-axle truck on Northwest Highway and tried to back it into the side of Royal Checks Cashed in the 11400 block of Emerald Street just after 4 a.m.
The thief was not able to get inside, according to police. They left the truck and ran from the scene.
Police said a witness heard the noise and recorded incident on their cellphone.
The store owners said this is the third time in several years someone tried to break in.
