Kids get really excited when it comes to those "wow" presents. They're usually the big items that cost a lot of money. Sometimes they're just as excited about the smaller gifts they pull out of the stocking.

What's better than a little hometown love? "Gift 'Ems" are collectible mini dolls. When you open the box - the doll's name and native country are revealed.

"I just happened to open the box that is from Dallas, so this is Dani from Dallas," said Toy Insider mom, Laurie Schact. "She comes off her stand; kids can actually swap out the hair, the hats, fun stuff. These are great to collect. There's 84 in this first series," said Schact.

The classics are all the rage this year.

"The Pokemon franchise has been doing well forever."

This year is no different, but your kids can now catch their own Pokémon from their stocking.

"These are Pokémon Throw N Pop Poké Balls. We actually throw them and our little pokémon guy will come out," Schact said.

Pokémon isn't the only classic toy that's hot this year.

"Weebles wobble but they don't fall down!" Schact sings.

Yes - Weebles have been around for decades, but they're still "in" and a lot of  fun.

"They're perfect for little ones. They're nice and big and chunky for little hands and little kids love it," said Schact.

And for mom and dad, you probably grew up playing classic video games. Now, you can share that experience with your kids.

"We have Space Invaders. We have Pac Man. And just like the games you remember, they play exactly the same."

No need to go to the arcade - this mini video game can be played at home.

"This is not only a great stocking stuffer, but its one that you might want to keep for yourself, and not even give to your kids, but your kids are gonna love it too," Schact said.

All of these stocking sized toys are under $30. So grab one for you, a couple for the kids and fill those stockings!
