The Texas Education Agency looks ready to become intimately engaged in steering Dallas ISD’s policies — and politics.
Unsatisfied with campus turnaround plans submitted by eight of the district’s lowest-performing campuses, the state agency has ordered DISD trustees to attend governance training or face stiff penalties, potentially including school closures, state-appointed campus principals or the temporary dissolution of the school board.
