A standoff in East Dallas ended peacefully Tuesday evening.
Dallas officers were serving a violation of protective order warrant to Edgar Gonzalez in the 8300 block of East RL Thornton freeway when the man refused to open his door.
The Dallas SWAT team was called to the La Quinta. Hotel guests were moved while officer talked to the man, but after a few hours, he surrendered without incident.
Gonzalez now faces a probation violation and violation of a protective order warrant.
