Spring Break Deal at Arlington Boys & Girls Clubs

Organization running $5 special for spring break, rest of school year

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington is open for parents who need a safe place for their children during spring break.

Andrew Fitzpatrick, vice president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington, said the organization helps keep kids out of trouble and in a place where they can learn and grow to be whatever they want to be.

Victoria Ekpenyong, who children have attended for years, said her children look forward to going.

"They want to be here for summer," she said. They want to be here for spring break, and I (knew) that that time is going to be worth it.  As a mother I can actually be at work and know that my kids are in a safe environment."

She said she has also saved thousands in child care costs.

The Arlington branches are offering a promotion during spring break. It costs $5 for ages 6 to 16 for activities during the day, a meal and a snack. It also covers after-school care through May 31.

Prices are normally $20 for the entire year.
