Southwest Airlines Flight Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Survivor

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines turned one of its flights pink this month, in honor of breast cancer awareness.

On Oct. 6, a Southwest flight crew got to meet Diane, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor, on one of their flights. She's now been cancer free for 16 years.

In honor of Diane's fight against the disease, the entire plane was turned pink and the flight crew wore pink as well.

Southwest Airlines wrote, "Thank you so much, Diane, for your courage, strength, and, most of all, your heart!"

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and pink is the color many organizations use to honor people who have been directly or indirectly affected by the disease.
