Solo Cup Factory Reopens After Small Fire

A Dallas factory that makes disposable Solo cups is cleaning up after a fire damaged part of the building Sunday.

The blaze forced 200 employees out of the factory on West Ledbetter late Sunday night after a fire started in a small section of the building where paper scraps are stored, said Angie Gorman, with Solo.

That section of the building has water and electrical damage, but no one was injured.

The plant is open and resumed production Monday.

The company hopes to have repairs to the building completed Tuesday.
