Landings and takeoffs stopped Thursday afternoon at Dallas Love Field after a small fire broke out inside the control tower.
Airport officials said a piece of electrical equipment caught fire at about 3:30 p.m.
Everyone inside the tower was evacuated. Seven flights were diverted and others were not allowed to take off.
The tower was fully operational later Thursday, and airport employees got all flights back up and running within a few hours.
