One person has been killed in the crash of a small helicopter north of the Montgomery County suburbs of Houston.
Trooper Erik Burse of the Texas Department of Public Safety says the pilot was alone aboard the two-seat chopper that went down just after noon Friday in an open area between a house and a church in The Woodlands.
No one on the ground was hurt. Burse says the name of the pilot is being withheld until relatives are notified.
Federal Aviation Administration investigators are at the scene.
