Liquor permit at Skybox Sports Club in Arlington has been suspended

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission suspended the liquor permit of an Arlington bar on Monday for at least a week.

Police say a 27-year-old man was shot and killed at the Sky Box Sports Club in the 1000 block of North Collins Street early Saturday morning.

Witnesses told police the man had earlier fought inside a nearby club. Security asked the two groups involved in the dispute to leave.

Police said gun shots rang out as the victim tried to drive away.

Police have not released the victim's identity but one arrest was made.

Now that the TABC has suspended the liquor permit, they, along with police, can investigate the events of that night.
