Sisters Give Birth to Baby Girls One Hour Apart

Two Burleson sisters gave birth less than an hour apart and right down the hall from each other at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth Thursday.

The sisters knew they were going to have their baby girls around the same time, but no one imagined a coincidence like this.

Two healthy baby girls, first cousins Riley and Stella Elizabeth, were born just 57 minutes apart on May 18.

“So everyone asked if we were planning this, obviously not, so she called me, told me she was pregnant,” said Shelly Randle.

The next day, Shelly Randle called her sister Kelsey to tell her she was also pregnant. So they knew their daughters would be born just days apart, but the two mothers never imagined this would happen.

“No, never. I mean, we joked about it. We were like, that would be convenient for our family, but we never thought it would actually come to fruition,” said Kelsey Bono.

It created a special bond between not just two sisters, but best friends.

“I think it was everything, because, it’s terrifying when you find out you’re going to be a new mom and you don’t know what to expect,” said Bono. “And so to have my big sister there, to be like, it’s going to be OK, I’ve done this before, was everything.”

“It’s definitely drawn us closer together, and we’re excited to have that bond with our baby girls,” said Randle.

The mothers are hoping the bond between their baby girls in this happy coincidence is just as strong as theirs.

The two sisters are taking the summer off for some quality bonding time with their babies and each other.
