Shopper Robbed of Purse While Loading Car

Plano police say a shopper's purse was snatched while she was putting items into her car in a shopping plaza parking lot.

Police said two people robbed a woman in the 1800 block of Preston Road on March 10.

Investigators said a woman jumped out of a vehicle that pulled up behind the victim and grabbed her purse, which she had placed on the ground next to her. The victim was knocked down when she tried to recover her purse.

Police said the robbers, a man and a woman, were later seen using the victim's credit cards at various locations. Investigators released a photo of a car similar to the tan Kia Sorento the man was driving at a gas station where the couple used the victim's credit card.

The city of Plano has posted photos and video of the couple on its website.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
