Shooting Victim: "I Have to Get On With Life"

Richardson police search for the man who shot another man in the face during a robbery while the victim searches for peace of mind.
In the movies, the criminal returns to the scene of the crime, but this time it's the victim who went back.
Henry Cox, 57, said he was robbed and shot in the face at USA Car Wash in the 1000 block of Audelia in Richardson in April.
"I can't be scared all the time," he said. "I have to get on with life."
He said hopes sharing his story will help Richardson police find his attacker, a man he described as "very angry."
"I want them to know that they did not defeat me, that God is on my side," Cox said.
Officers released a composite sketch of the man's face from Cox's memory, but the description remains vague.
"It's somebody that's really callous and cold and could care less," Sgt. Kevin Perlich said.
The man shot Cox after he already had Cox's money. A police dashboard camera video shows Cox on his knees calling 911 as officers arrive.
"I cried out to God and asked him not to do this to my wife," Cox said.
The bullet, which could have left Cox blind, deaf or paralyzed, remains lodged in his neck. Cox said he is mostly pain-free and, surprisingly, not the least bit vengeful.
