1 Hurt in Fort Worth Accidental Shooting: Police

One person has been transported to an area hospital after an apparent accidental shooting Thursday afternoon in Tarrant County.

Fort Worth police and Med Star emergency crews were called at about 5:30 p.m. to the 2300 block of Northeast 37th Street.

Police said two young adults were handling a gun when one of them accidentally fired the weapon, resulting in one being injured.

The injuries do not appear to be significant, police said.

Further details have not been released, and the shooting remains under investigation.
