Shooter Dead, Two Injured Outside Grapevine Restaurant

Victims shot in the parking lot



    Grapevine police are on the scene of the Winewood Restaurant where there's been a shooting in the parking lot.

    Grapevine Police say the shooter is dead after a Saturday night shooting outside of a Grapevine restaurant.

    The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Winewood Restaurant at 1265 South Main Street in Grapevine around 10 p.m Saturday.

    Three people were injured in the shooting, including 57-year-old Donald Walz, who died at the scene and was later identified as the shooter.

    One of the other victims was transported to Baylor Medical Center. The second victim went to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. The identities of the injured victims was not yet disclosed by police.

    The cause of the shooting is unknown.

    A restaurant manager told NBC 5 that no one inside the restaurant was injured and all activity was outside.
