Sen. Cruz to Discuss North Texas Economy at Roundtable

Cruz also gave his reaction to Trump's comments about if he'll accept the results of the election

Sen. Ted Cruz arrived in North Texas Thursday to discuss economic development and regulatory issues that North Texas businesses face.

Cruz attended a roundtable discussion with the Richardson, Oak Cliff and DeSoto chambers of commerce and local business leaders.

“It only takes two or three percent of conservatives to stay at home for us to have a really devastating election results down ballot," Cruz said. "Particularly in some of the big urban counties like Dallas County, Harris County. If three percent of the conservatives stay home, we could lose a lot of state rep races. We could lose state senate races. We could lose congressional races. We could lose judicial races. I don't want that to happen."

Cruz was asked about Wednesday night's debate and his reaction to Donald Trump saying he would decide whether to accept the election results at the time of the election.

"He's got to decide what his own answers are," said Cruz. "You know my view is we have a democratic process. We have elections. I've won elections. I've lost elections and I respect the results of an election.”
