Overturned Semis Spill Squash, Lumber, Limes

No injuries reported in separate crashes

Emergency responders cleaned up two separate crashes involving overturned big-rigs and loads spilled onto roadways.

NBC 5 has learned the driver of a big-rig was bringing a load of produce to Garland from far south Texas when the truck overturned on the ramp between Interstate 35E and Interstate 20 in Dallas, spilling limes and squash into the median.

HAZMAT was called to the scene over the possibility of spilled diesel fuel.

The second crash involves an overturned flat-bed truck that spilled a load of lumber on the ramp from northbound state Highway 360/Six Flags Drive to westbound Interstate 30.

A van and Jeep were also involved in the crash, according to the Arlington Police Department who also said the truck's driver will be cited for speed and for having an unsecured load.

The spill is on the south side of I-30, before the on-ramp splits into ramps for the east and westbound lanes of the highway.  Both ramps are closed and officials said cleanup is expected to last until about 2 p.m.

The exit ramp to Texas 360/Six Flags Drive from westbound I-30 reopened shortly after 10 a.m.

Traffic on I-30 has not been affected.

Neither of the drivers were injured in the crashes.

NBC 5's Justin Hinton and Mola Lenghi contributed to this report.
