Semi Erupts in Flames, Catches Grass on Fire Along Interstate 20

A truck driver is unhurt after the tractor-trailer he was driving erupted in flames Monday along Interstate 20 near the Tarrant-Parker county line.

Fort Worth fire officials said the fire began in the cab, then soon spread to the grass along the eastbound lanes of the interstate near Markum Ranch Road.

The driver, whose identity was not released, escaped without injuries.

Nearly a dozen Fort Worth Fire Department units responded to extinguish the truck and grass fires.

No other vehicles were involved.
