Arlington police are investigating after a woman was caught on video nabbing a Christmas gift from the front porch of a family's home.
Surveillance video shows a woman park in front of the house in the 4600 block of Enchanted Isle Court, approach the front door without so much as a look over her shoulder, pick up the package and then stride back to the waiting car with the package under her arm.
The stolen item was an iPad, according to the homeowner, who was unavailable for comment for this story.
Neighbor Jane West said she, too, expected a delivery in recent days - medication for her dog - but that the item is inexplicably late.
After viewing the video, West is concerned she may have been victimized, too.
"I think, 'Boy, was she gutsy to do something like that,'" West said after viewing the video. "And she needs to be caught. That's not right, especially at Christmas time."
The suspect is described as a white female, in her late teens to early 20s, with brown hair and a blonde ponytail, wearing a light-colored jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, according to Arlington police.
