School Bus Involved in Fort Worth Crash

No injuries were reported after a Fort Worth Independent School District bus full of middle school-aged children rear-ended a pickup southeast of downtown Thursday afternoon, police said.

The crash was reported at about 4:30 p.m. on the ramp from eastbound Interstate 30 to southbound U.S. Highway 287.

Police said the truck struck the rear of the pickup, causing the truck to hit a van in front of it.

Med Star ambulance officials said 24 children were on board the bus.

Police did not issue any citations in the collision, and a second bus arrived just after 5 p.m. to help take the children home.
