A 30-year-old San Antonio woman has been arrested in the death of her 9-month-old son, who was found dead in his crib under mysterious circumstances.
San Antonio police said Mickey Wylie Bess was arrested at her home Wednesday night.
Police Officer Roger Zuniga said in a statement that Bess was arrested on suspicion of injury to a child by reckless omission and said she was being processed late Wednesday night.
He provided no other information, and no information on jail booking status or whether she had an attorney could be determined.
Bess had been under investigation since her son was found dead Oct. 6 in his crib, tightly wrapped in wet blankets and showing signs of rigor mortis. Autopsy results are pending.
