SMU Gas Leak Sealed
Leak near Binkley Garage repaired just before 11 a.m.

Students have been asked to stay inside as a precaution while the location of the leak is determined.

An gas line break at Southern Methodist University has been sealed.
Several emails were sent to NBCDFW.com by students who said they were advised to take shelter in the nearest building immediately and to not go outside.
The ominous message from the SMU Emergency Alert system said: "Main Campus Only: There is an emergency on campus. Please shelter in the nearest building now. Do not go outside. Will update."
According to SMU, the leak was on the east side of the Binkley Garage, near Airline Road and Binkley Avenue.
Repair crews sealed the leak just before 11 a.m.
