Emergency responders rescued an injured man from the roof of a shopping center in Arlington Tuesday.

The 50-year-old man was working on the roof of the Woodridge Village Shopping Center on the 6000-block of West Interstate 20 when he slipped and fell.

The man was unable to get up, but was able to use his mobile phone to call for help.

Arlington firefighters responded and used a ladder-truck as a crane to lower the man from the second floor roof.

The man's injuries are not considered serious.

NBC 5's Mola Lenghi contributed to this report.
