Former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk has joined the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Kirk was listed Monday as a senior counsel with the Los Angeles-based law firm.
The ex-mayor of Dallas served as the nation's top trade negotiator through President Barack Obama's first term in office. Kirk worked to get trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama through Congress.
The former Texas secretary of state left the Obama administration in February.
