Dallas police said a person died after a rollover crash on northbound Loop 12 on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the person was partially ejected from the sport utility vehicle on Loop 12 just south of Interstate 30.
The person died after being transported to Methodist Central Hospital.
Witnesses told police another person fled the vehicle after the crash.
Police said officers earlier saw the black 2000 Chevrolet Suburban driving in the median of North Walton Boulevard near the Keeneland Road exit. The vehicle entered the northbound lanes but continued to drive erratically.
The driver refused to stop for police, and officers lost sight of the vehicle. They saw vehicle when they approached Interstate 30 and stopped to render aid, police said.
