Rock Hauler Overturns on Bridge, Slows Traffic in NW Fort Worth

The driver of a rock hauler is in serious condition after the rig overturned and partially fell from a highway bridge along Loop 820 Monday afternoon.[[383668101,R]]

The crash took place along the westbound lanes of northwest Loop 820 between Old Decatur Road and Business 287 in North Fort Worth.

The rock hauler overturned, sending the cab and part of the open trailer over the retaining wall at the end of a bridge over railroad tracks.

The cab, still attached to the trailer, came to rest on the ground below while the trailer dangled over the edge.

The driver of the rock hauler was seriously injured in the crash but is expected to survive, according to MedStar Ambulance.

It is not clear if any other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
