Road-Rage Shooting Leads to Crash, Killing Suspect

A suspected road-rage shooting led to a double rollover crash of both vehicles involved, killing the suspected gunman and critically injured the family in the other vehicle.

The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. Monday on Texas 151 in San Antonio, about a half mile southeast of Loop 1604. Police Sgt. Javier Salazar says a man driving a pickup truck and apparently thought he had been cut off by a sport utility vehicle.

The truck driver drew a gun and fired several shots at the SUV, striking the men inside in the arm. Both vehicles veered out of control off the highway and rolled over, killing the truck driver.

Salazar says two men and a 5-year-old boy in the SUV were hospitalized in critical condition. No identities have been released.
