Reward in Missy Bevers Murder Case Jumps to $50,000

It's been more than six months since fitness instructor Missy Bevers was murdered inside Midlothian's Creekside Church and investigators are seemingly no closer to finding her killer.

On Thursday, Oct. 27, the reward for information leading to an arrest and grand jury indictment in the case jumped from $20,000 to $50,000 after two anonymous donors contributed $15,000 each. The original $20,000 was put up by Oak Farms Dairy and SWFA Outdoors.

Bevers was killed April 18 when she arrived at the church to teach an early-morning fitness class.

Video surveillance recorded at the church showed a person inside the church before Bevers' murder wearing makeshift tactical gear.

Video of that person has been shared across the country, but police have not been able to identify the person in the video and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call a specific tip line at 972-775-7624. Callers may remain anonymous by calling Ellis County Crime Stoppers at 972-937-7297.
