At least two people are dead and several have been injured after separate incidents at lakes in Dallas and Tarrant counties on Sunday evening.

In Grand Prairie, five people were injured in a boating crash on Joe Pool Lake. NBCDFW has learned that children are among those hurt. Police have not provided any other details.

MedStar Ambulance confirmed that two males died at Lake Worth over the weekend. They said a 16-year-old boy, later identified as Javier Zacarias, went under water. His uncle, later identified as 24-year-old Juan Zacarais, tried to rescue him.

Neither of the men surfaced and both of their bodies were later recovered.
