Registration Extended for Tarrant County Back-to-School Event

Families can still register for Tarrant County's annual back-to-school event for economically disadvantaged students.

The one-day Tarrant County Back to School Roundup offers free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, immunizations and dental and health screenings for public school students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

Pre-registration is required and has been extended until Tuesday. Families can register between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Tarrant County Resource Center, which is located at 1100 Circle Drive in Fort Worth. A valid picture ID, proof of residency and proof of income is needed to pre-register.

Students must live in Tarrant County and meet eligibility requirements to qualify for the event. (Click here to see the eligibility requirements or call 211.)

The event takes place Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth.
