Recount Complete: Harper-Brown Wins Re-Election

Linda Harper-Brown won re-election by 19 votes in the race for Texas House District 105.

Republican Linda Harper-Brown won re-election following a recount of ballots in the race for Texas House District 105.

Democrat Bob Romano filed a formal request for the recount last month.

In the original count, Harper-Brown was declared the winner by 20 votes, the final margin after the recount was 19 votes.

Linda Harper-Brown-(R) 19,857 (48.72%)

Bob Romano 19,838-(D) (48.68%)

Ms. Harper-Brown's victory means Republicans will have a one-seat edge in the Texas House when lawmakers reconvene in January.
