Students Return to RL Turner After Evacuation

Students at RL Turner High School were evacuated to the parking lot of the Josey Lane Church of Christ Monday after a threat was received at the school.

Students and staff at RL Turner High School in Carrollton were evacuated Monday morning due to a bomb threat.

Officials with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District said the threat was phoned in to the school.

The students were evacuated to the parking lot of the Josey Lane Church of Christ while Carrollton police officers searched the school.

According to the district's website, other campuses in the area were locked down as a precaution while the high school was searched.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. the all-clear was given and the students were allowed back in the building, district officials said.
