The Texas Rangers is hosting the MLB 2014 Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities for the first time in the program's 22-year history.
RBI World Series Senior Director, David James, said they created this program as a way to revitalize the love of baseball in inner cities.
"These are experiences that they will remember for the rest of their life, regardless if they make it to the professionals," James said. "And we always talk about it's more important to make major league citizens."
"Being a baseball player in the city is kinda unique," Steve Mann, a 15-year-old playing for Detroit Arsenal, said. "It's an honor to represent and come here."
The tournament started with 24 teams from the United States, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
Over the weekend, the teams played at fields across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The top four teams advanced to the championship game, which was played at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
They hosted both a Junior Division with the players ranging from 13 to 15-years-old and a Senior Division where players were from 16 to 18-years-old.

"It's really exciting because obviously all the pros play out here," Zavier Warren said.
The women's softball championship game will also be played in Texas, with the final game being played at Texas Woman's University in Denton.
Teams also had the chance to participate in the MLB Scouting Bureau Workout Day at the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex. Players who attended ran drills for professional scouts and college recruiters.
More than 200 RBI players have been recruited by MLB teams throughout the program's history.
