Quietly, Quickly: Chili's Out at AAC

What are the top picks on Chili's new $7 menu?

We've long said Victory Park needs mid-range food options to really make a name for itself, so it's pretty shocking that Chili's, which made a home in the American Airlines Center and was frequently packed during Stars and Mavs games, has swiftly and silently moved out in the middle of the night last night.

Robert Wilonsky of the Dallas Observer tipped us off to the closing, which happens nearly one year to the day the DMN announced the restaurant's arrival. Apparently there are also lawsuits filed, including a Chapter 11 case in regaurds to that specific location, with more expected to be known on Tuesday about the legal implications of this closing.

Still, it gets us to thinking about what's still left down in Victory for folks who don't want to see something at the AAC, or visit the Hard Rock. We (jokingly) blame Ze Germans.

UPDATE: Wilonsky dug further into the legal angle on this story, but for us average joes that just wanted a Old Timer before a Modano hat trick -- we're out of luck.
