It's been a point of contention for years, but the towns of Prosper and Celina have agreed to an overpass on a road that borders the two growing Collin County municipalities.
The location is where Frontier Parkway, or Farm-to-Market Road 1461, intersects with the Burlington North Santa Fe Rail Line. Trains often stop at the intersection, backing up traffic.
The location is where a recently built, and growing housing development sits on the Celina side. On the Prosper side, it's the site for the future high school football and events stadium.
Collin County will manage the design and construction of the project. Multiple agencies will chip in to pay for it.
There is no word yet on when construction might start.
