Officers were searching Tuesday for a prison escapee with a history of burglary.
Michael Monk, 45, jumped out of a Dallas County Sheriff's vehicle at Westmoreland at Fort Worth Avenue in Dallas, where he was working on detail.
The Dallas Police Department assisted the Dallas County Sheriff's Department in the search for Monk.
