Priest's Son Gets Life, No Parole for Killing His Parents

The 20-year-old son of an Episcopal priest has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for beating his parents to death with a lamp, baseball bat and hammer.

Isaac Tiharihondi pleaded guilty to two counts of capital murder in the killing of his 51-year-old father, Israel Ahimbisibwe, and mother, 47-year-old Dorcus Ahimbisibwe, in their Houston apartment. He was sentenced Monday.

Authorities believe Tiharihondi also fatally stabbed his 5-year-old brother Israel Jr.

The bodies were discovered Feb. 2, 2015.

Court documents say Tiharihondi told his family days before the killings that he was about to report for duty with the Marine. His parents thought he was lying and planned to confront him.

Police say the U.S. Marine Corps has no record of Tiharihondi ever enlisting.
