Pregnant Woman, Unborn Child Killed in Shooting



Dallas police are looking for the person who shot and killed a pregnant woman and her unborn child inside of her Oak Cliff home on Saturday night.

Police said the victim, 28-year-old Stephanie Terlisner, was six months pregnant. She was transported to Baylor Hospital in Dallas where she and her unborn child died.

Dallas police said the shooting happened at about 7 p.m. in the 6600 block of Cool Morn Drive. The location, near Bonnie View Road, was a known drug smoke house and was occupied by several people who witnessed the shooting, according to Dallas police.

Police said the witnesses claim a man entered the house and shot Terlinser once in the chest.

Dallas police have identified the susect as 20-year-old Ka'darius Demond Barrett. Barrett remains at large.

Investigators initially said Terlisner was shot during a robbery, however law enforcement officials later said they were continuing to track down other possible leads.

Police continue to investigate the fatal shooting.
