Power Out at Dallas' Walker Middle School

Parents allowed to pick up children early

A power outage has forced students at Dallas' E.D. Walker Middle School to be relocated to other parts of the school.

The children were moved to different locations where there was adequate light and ventilation.

Parents are welcome to pick up their children.  Students who ride buses will remain at the school through the end of the regular school day.

Lunch will still be served.

Classes are expected to resume on schedule Friday.

Oncor said the outage is caused by an equipment failure that was first reported at about 9:30 a.m.  They expected to have service restored at noon, though at this time we haven't confirmed that service is restored.
