    The dark halls of Coppell High School.

    A failed power cable near Coppell High School has been repaired after it shut off power to two schools and more than 1,000 customers Tuesday morning.

    Both Coppell High School and Cottonwood Creek Elementary were without power during the outage, according to officials with the Coppell Independent School District.

    The failure was located near Sandy Lake Road and Coppell Road and lasted less than an hour.

    The outage was repaired just before 10 a.m.
