No Injuries After Large Fire at Retirement Community

There have been no reported injuries after a large fire broke out at a retirement community in Crowley Wednesday morning, officials say.

According to Robert Loftin with the Crowley Fire Department, firefighters were called to the St. Francis Village retirement community where a fire broke out at a duplex in the community.

The fire was quickly elevated to 3-alarms after initial reports indicated an explosion may have taken place at a residence along the 100 block of Saint Clare Drive in unincorporated Tarrant County.

NBC 5's Jeff Smith reported from the scene that residents heard several loud "pops" that were likely from aerosol cans and household chemicals and not an explosion.

Crowley fire crews confirmed the fire at a duplex and said that electric lines near the property had been downed.

All the occupants of the building were said to be out and accounted for.

We will update this story with the latest details as we get them.
