Sleeping Teen Stolen With Family Car

Teen found by police Sunday night

A 14-year-old girl was found unharmed in South Dallas Sunday night after being taken earlier in the evening along with her family's car.

The girl's parents stopped at a gas station Sunday at about 8:30 p.m. near 2nd and Dixon avenues.   They told police that they left the teen, who was sleeping, inside the car as they went into the convenience store.

While they were inside, someone jumped into their car and drove away.

The girl was found later, unharmed, at about 10:20 p.m. and taken to Dallas police headquarters to be reunited with her mother.

At this time, police are not release any other details other than that the thief remains at large.
