Police said they're searching for a man who led officers on a chase through Dallas County Friday morning.
Grand Prairie police said they tried to strop the man driving a black sedan on Belt Line Road for a license plate violation at about 3 a.m.
The driver sped up and drove east on Interstate 30 at a high rate of speed.
After exiting I-30, police said the driver crashed into a utility pole in the 4500 block of Singleton Boulevard and ran from the scene.
Police said they found many stolen vehicle rims and tires in the car.
Dallas police and a Texas Department of Public Safety chopper assisted in the search, but they were unable to find the suspect.
