Police Search For A Shooter In Dallas

Two dead, police suspect robbery was the motive

Dallas police are looking for a man involved in a deadly shooting early Monday morning.

Investigators said three people pulled up to an apartment complex just north of Dallas Love Field at around 5 a.m. and were met by a man armed with a gun.

"They came upon them in a very cowardly fashion and fired into that car striking the individual in the front seat and striking the female who was in the back seat," said Dallas Police Lt. Craig Miller.

The man in the front seat died at the scene. Police identified the man as Antonio Charles, 49, of Dallas. The woman was transported to Parkland in grave condition. The driver got away unharmed.

Early in the investigation, police said they believe this was a planned robbery.

“These individuals were coming from a club where they had worked and it's very possible that someone either saw them leave or knew they were going to arrive at this location," Miller said.

Investigators said there may have been a cash box in the truck that the shooter was after. If you have any information on this robbery, call Dallas police.
