Police Pull Teens From Burning, Stolen Car

Garland police officers pulled three teens from a burning, stolen car early Wednesday morning.

According to the Garland Police Department, at about 2:30 a.m. officers attempted to stop the driver of a stolen 2012 Toyota Camry spotted near Jupiter and Kingsley roads.

The driver refused to pull over and sped away, police said. Officers pursued and the driver of the Camry soon lost control of the vehicle along the 2100 block of Kingsley Road.

The car left the roadway, drove over a fire hydrant and continued through a vacant lot onto Ballinger Drive.  The car then crashed into a group of trees and caught fire.

According to police, three teen boys were pulled from the burning vehicle by police who then called the paramedics.

Two of the injured were transported to Parkland Hospital and the third to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Their names and conditions have not been released.
